WELCOME TO CHRISTMAS 2024 AT THE MAIDS HEAD HOTEL
All the team at the award-winning and historic Maids Head Hotel would like to extend a very warm welcome to you, your friends, family and colleagues this Christmas. We offer a celebration for everyone, from party nights to New Year's Eve dinners.
All our menus champion seasonal ingredients, sourced from local suppliers. There are also lots of sleep offers to enjoy, from our popular Christmas Residential, to our New Year package as well as our Festive Shop and Stay and New Year, New You special offer. If you are looking for a complete dining experience, mixed with the finest in hospitality, where the hotel is bedecked with garlands and Christmas trees galore, then the Maids Head team would love to help you to plan your 2024 festive celebrations.
CHRISTMAS PARTY NIGHTS
Get ready to dine, dance and celebrate the festive season in style. Our party nights include a three course dinner and dancing until midnight with our resident DJ.
PRIVATE CHRISTMAS PARTY
If you would like to book a private festive party, then our versatile event rooms are perfect, and these can be booked on any dates for parties of 40 – 120 guests.
FESTIVE LUNCHES
Our WinePress Restaurant offers the perfect location for a Christmas get together with colleagues, family and friends. Alternatively, our Minstrel Suite and Oak Room are also available for private lunches between noon and 4pm.
The two course lunch is £34 per person and for three courses is £42 per person.
CHRISTMAS MURDER MYSTERY SPECIALS
It’s nearly Christmas, and the Shipman and West families are at the Maids Head to book bedrooms to stay over the holiday season together. But things start to go horribly wrong when the local police arrive to tell them about the murder of someone they all know … all accompanied by a festive three course dinner. The price is £55 per person, which can be extended with an overnight stay from just an additional £140 per couple to include bed and breakfast.
FESTIVE AFTERNOON TEA
Our traditional afternoon tea is bursting with seasonal flavours. Choose to enjoy this special treat with friends and family in our WinePress Restaurant, or one of our cosy lounges and is available from 1 December and served daily from 2pm until 4pm. The price is £30 per person.
NEW YEAR'S EVE SPECIAL EVENTS
Join us at the award-winning Maids Head Hotel to welcome 2025 in with style. We offer you two very special events, either our Candlelit Dinner Party, or our Gala Ball. Both celebrations include casino tables and entertainment. Overnight accommodation prices are available on request.
NEW YEAR'S EVE - CANDLELIT DINNER PARTY
Join us for an indulgent four course candlelit dinner served in our WinePress Restaurant, followed by entertainment from our resident DJ until 1am.
NEW YEAR'S EVE - MAIDS HEAD GALA BALL
Before the clock strikes midnight and we enter 2025, a magnificent culinary feast awaits you. Enjoy a mouth-watering five-course Gala Dinner, followed by entertainment from our resident band.

We've a choice of drinks packages which will be found on your table awaiting your arrival.
About the Maids Head Hotel
The Maids Head is a four star hotel within a few yards of the magnificent Norwich Cathedral and the ancient cobbled street of Elm Hill. It is only a short walk to Norwich Castle, the railway station, and to Norwich's wide range of shops, restaurants and bar.
The hotel has a wealth of history dating back to the eleventh century, claiming to be the oldest hotel in the UK! Recent refurbishments have brought this hotel up to the 21st century with stylist decor. It has space for up to 120 guests for an event, and 84 bedrooms.
