Looking for a one-of-a-kind Christmas experience in Brighton this winter? Shelter Hall could be just the place. 

Set between Brighton’s two iconic piers and just a 10-minute walk from the station, Shelter Hall is the city’s go-to destination for food and drink exploration. Choose from a range of flexible event spaces, including the buzzing main hall, mezzanine level, private dining room, cocktail bar, and even cosy igloos for something more intimate. 

With seven independent kitchens under one roof, guests can explore a variety of street food - from Mexican and Thai to pizza and fried chicken - so everyone finds something they love. 

PRIVATE HIRE 
For Christmas bookings, a small room hire is charged, alongside a fixed minimum spend on food and drink for each area, minimum spends vary according to time, date and capacity. Extras we can provide for an additional fee include photo booth, DJ & entertainment, audio visual, decorations and bespoke requests for up to 600 guests. 

Your food and drink options: 

As a food hall, flexibility and discovery are at the heart of what we do. For that reason, we often recommend pre-paid digital vouchers for your event, giving guests the freedom to explore all our kitchens and bars, and order exactly what they like. 

If you’d prefer a more structured approach, our kitchens also offer curated sharing platters, perfect for a buffet-style experience that brings everyone together. 

Looking for something in between? We’re happy to create a hybrid setup - with pre-ordered food and drinks on arrival, followed by the option for guests to order freely throughout the rest of the event. 

Our spaces: 

MAIN HALL 
Available to book for large groups shared with other bookings, or for exclusive hire. The ground floor offers large traditional communal tables right in the heart of Shelter Hall, amongst our seven kitchens. Perfect for groups who want a buzzy atmospheric event with the option for digital ordering or table buffets. Exclusive hires can also request a DJ, live band, dance floor or presentation screens for an additional cost. 

Capacity: 400 standing, 300 seated

FESTIVE PRIVATE DINING ROOM 
Our private dining room is available exclusively for pre-booked groups of 6 to 12 guests. To reserve the room, there's a £30 per person minimum spend, which we'll turn into a pre-paid voucher for you to enjoy on the day - whether that's for delicious dishes, cocktails, or a bit of both.

MEZZANINE 
Available to book for exclusive hire, our first floor mezzanine overlooks the main hall with panoramic views of the seafront and the iconic piers. Hire Includes use of the mezzanine’s five private balconies. 

Capacity: 150 standing, 80 seated 

SKYLARK BAR 
Our hidden Skylark bar sits tucked away on our first floor. This gorgeous space offers a quieter experience with dedicated mixologists at the bar and food from all kitchens. Ideal for standing drinks, space to dance and platter dining. With bespoke layout options, the ability to plug in your own music and support from our team throughout the night, Skylark is the perfect setting for an unforgettable event.

CHRISTMAS IGLOOS 
Enjoy stunning views of Brighton's seafront in the comfort of your own private, heated, and beautifully decorated igloo. Perfect for those seeking Christmas celebrations with a difference, you’ll be provided with a speaker, and your food and drinks will be bought to your table.

Shelter Hall is a re-imagined food hall with seven rotating kitchens, two bars, extensive seaview terrace and five balconies, this is the place to settle in. Shelter Hall is in a prime location between the historic West Pier and the Palace Pier on Brighton's seafront.
